BRIDGE player Christine King celebrated her 100th birthday in the only way she knows how - surrounded by friends playing her favourite game.
Members of the Simmons Bridge Club in Coleshill threw a surprise party for Mrs King to celebrate her century on Tuesday, November 19.
She walked to the club she has attended for many years before being given a chocolate cake, champagne and flowers by friends.
Mrs King then settled down in a balloon decorated chair to enjoy another afternoon of bridge.
The rest of her birthday week was spent having visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren before going to have lunch at a former bridge club of hers at Moor Park.
