A SPINDLES farm survivor helped Father Christmas deliver carrots at the weekend.
Star was one of more than 100 animals rescued from Spindles Farm in Hyde Heath, which was the centre of a high profile animal cruelty case.
He was taken to The Horse Trust in Speen and five years after his ordeal he has been taught to pull a trap.
To show off his new skill he pulled a trap with none other than Father Christmas on board at the trust's Christmas party on Saturday and helped deliver carrots to the stables' residents.
Around 80 of the trust's horse sponsors joined staff and retired or rescued horses, ponies and donkeys for the festive treat.
Mulled wine and mince pies were served, arts and crafts were for sale and there was carol singing.
There was even a Horse Trust Nativity Scene featuring Spindles Farm rescue donkeys Lola, Nora and Gladys.
