UNDETERRED by rising water levels, builders on the riverbank have resumed work on Marlow Rowing Club’s new headquarters.
Despite water levels creeping upwards towards the building site over the last two weeks, work is now underway to bore holes to support the main infrastructure of the £2.5million Watersports Hub.
Club spokesman Lynne Moran said: ""The builders are naturally keeping a close eye of the weather forecast and the water levels and we will continue to push ahead with our programme of works as planned and just hope that the weather stays mild as it has been"
She confirmed that the Thames has been lapping at the edge of the working area this week.
After delays caused by an underground gas main and the discovery of asbestos at the site, the schedule for the building to replace the fire damaged clubhouse has been delayed by around a month.
