SPRAY can bandits have daubed cannabis leaves on parts of The Rye in a spate of vandalism.

The graffiti has appeared on the Abbey Road underpass, Busy Bees nursery, the lido swimming pool and the toilet block next to the Environment Centre.

Buildings, walls and the old dairy on Keep Hill Road have also been hit.

A waste cleansing team from Wycombe District Council will now have to carry out a site visit and the nuisance graffiti will have to be removed.

Becky Wotherspoon, spokesman for Wycombe District Council, said: "A report of graffiti at the swimming pool at The Rye has been reported to our waste and cleansing team who will be visiting the site to arrange for it to be removed."

She added that graffiti on private property was not the council's responsibility, but each year it spends around £5,000 cleaning it off public places.

PCSO Roger Brooks is now appealing for help to identify the culprits.

He has asked parents to question their children to see if they know who is responsible and wants people to look out for anyone acting suspiciously or carrying paint cans. Anyone with information should contact him on 08458 505 505.
