GRANTS of up to £2,000 are up for grabs for volunteer groups in the Chiltern district.
Projects and activities commemorating the cetenary of the First World War in particular are being encouraged to apply for some extra funding from Chiltern District Council's Community Grants Aid scheme.
Last year 38 voluntary organisations were handed grants through the scheme and there's a total of £30,000 set aside for groups this time around.
Cllr Peter Hudson, cabinet member for Leisure and Community, said: "In previous years, the Community Grants Aid scheme has helped support a diverse range of local community organisations deliver an amazing range of services, activities and events that make a huge difference across the district.
"Last year’s scheme attracted a fantastic range of applications and I am confident that this year we will continue to support new and exciting projects."
Applications packs can be downloaded from www.chiltern.gov.uk/funding and further information is available by calling 01494 732058 or emailing community@chiltern.gov.uk. Applications need to be submitted by Friday, June 6.
