“An extravagant delusion inflicted on the gullible by this nation’s enemies”: Roderick Taylor’s verdict on man-made global warming (Letters, June 27).
Alas, your page isn’t large enough to list all the people harbouring this “delusion”. They include the Prince of Wales, the Astronomer Royal, the president of the Royal Society and a succession of the Government’s chief scientific advisers. Would Mr Taylor like to specify which of these he considers gullible and the nation’s enemies?
And what’s his reaction to this statement? “Climate change is a result of the greatest market failure the world has seen.” It comes from the Wikipedia entry for Nicholas Stern, Baron Stern of Brentford. I recommend your readers read this entry and see for themselves the qualities of someone Mr Taylor would classify among the nation’s enemies. — Eric Alexander, High Wycombe
