A HERITAGE trail has been unveiled at a historic Marlow park as it celebrates 100 years since being pledged to the community.
Riley Park Trust unveiled the series of eight placards dotted around the green space to the rear of Sainsbury’s off Oxford Road, each giving background on historical figures and places in Marlow.
Among the information boards are lecterns dedicated to Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School, Marlow Cottage Hospital and Edward Riley, who bequeathed Riley Park to the town in 1914 as somewhere safe for children to play.
The unveiling of the trail, paid for by fundraising, was made at a fun day this month marking the centenary of the founding of the park.
