A FLACKWELL Heath man has completed a London to Paris bike ride for a charity close to his heart.
Giles Cuthbert completed the ride over four days with 104 other cyclists.
He has raised £3,800 for Parkinson's UK, as his dad was diagnosed with the progressive neurological condition 15 years ago.
Sadly his celebrations at completing the ride were abruptly brought to an end as his mum fell down the stairs at a restaurant in Paris.
His mum and dad had travelled out to celebrate but his mum slipped, and they ended up spending another four days in the captial. She has now recovered.
Giles who is 48 and is married to Karen, with two sons aged ten and six, said he will continue to raise money for Parkinson's UK in future challenges.
