A COMMUNITY shop in Hughenden has sold its 10,000th homemade scone.
Sandie Coventry from Hughenden, received a free bag of scones in celebration of the landmark sale at Hughenden Valley Community owned village shop.
The shop has become the hub of the village since it opened and customers often sit outside to enjoy their scones.
Jan Collins makes the buttermilk scones and delivers them every Tuesday and Friday.
She said: "Some customers buy one or two and others buy a bag of 12 or more to share - it is just amazing how many people love scones and that we have sold so many in just two years."
The shop committee thanked Jan on behalf of the shop’s customers with a bouquet of flowers.
