1. SPONSORED dog lovers will be stepping out with their pooches this Sunday from 10.30am at the kennels in Stokenchurch to raise money to support the homeless being cared for by Stokenchurch Dog Rescue. There will be a choice of five or ten kilometre walks and sponsor forms are available from the charity's website www.stokenchurchdogrescue.co.uk or the kennels in Oxford Road. Check-in time for registration will be at 10.30am, ready for departures at 11. People can walk their own dog or pre-arrange to take out one of the dogs from the kennels. Some may walk without dogs. Youngsters aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. There's a prize for the walker who raises the most. 2. THERE is lots going on at Hazeldene Farm in Chesham this Sunday from 11am. There is a pop-up food bank, farm barbecue; local food and drink producers; The Painted Barn vintage tea room; vegan cake stall; ice cream van; cup cake decorating workshop with Top Banana Cooking; children's mocktail making by All Shook Up; face painting; sand art; guided farm walk; farm shop and resident businesses open as usual. This is an official event to support the Chiltern Food bank, who will be present on the day, come on down to learn how you can support them and just some of the 13 million people who are under the poverty line in the UK today. 3. THE Hyde End Autumn Craft Show starts today and runs until Sunday at Middle Grove Farm, Hyde End, Near Great Missenden. It runs from 10am to 5pm today and tomorrow and on Sunday from 10am to 4.30pm. For more details go to www.acfcraftfairs.com.

4. JOIN in with pumpkin carving and Halloween fun at Odds Farm Park in Wooburn Common on Saturday and Sunday with Madness and Mayhem from their crazy entertainers and a ghoulish Halloween trail. Tickets are £11.50 for two to 16-year-olds and £12.50 for adults. 

5. THE fifth annual grand balloon race takes place this Saturday at the Playing Fields, Burford Close in Marlow Bottom from 2 to 4pm in aid of Marlow Bottom Pre-School.
