2646 solidarity events in 162 countries. A turnout over 300,000 in New York City, ranking high among mass protests in USA. This was the People’s Climate March of September 20-21. Much more on the web, particularly at peoples climate.org.
The message: more effective measures are needed worldwide to bring down carbon emissions. That ought to dispel the myth that such measures have been dreamt up by governments as a way of raising taxes and controlling people’s behaviour.
Even so, I expect climate fantasists like Anthony Weeden to continue parading such myths in letters to the Bucks Free Press. His effort of September 19 features the fantasy that Central England Temperatures tell you all you need to know about global climate.
