Six WI members from Bucks sashayed down the red carpet in their first ever fashion show.

Over 160 women from all over Buckinghamshire WI’s attended the fashion show at Aylesbury Vale District Council Gateway Atrium in Aylesbury on October 28.

The novice models strutted their stuff on the catwalk showing off a range of clothes, from ski and luxury casual wear to vintage style dresses and formal evening wear.

The clothes were provided by four local retailers; Fox’s of Amersham, Total Look Home & You in Amersham and Chesham, Peaches Emporium and Time Fashions, both based in Wendover.

The models were Sandra, Mary and Helen, from Fairford Leys WI, Jacqueline King, Treasurer of BFWI Jenny Street, Chairman of BFWI and Pat Poole, Vice-Chair of BFWI.

Pat said: "Jacqueline and I have never organised a Fashion show before and we are both so thrilled with the feedback that we think we will do another one in two years time. All of us who modelled are just ordinary WI members and naturally were nervous but once that music started, we strutted our stuff and we would hope dispelled the stereotype WI lady and showed our members clothes that maybe they didn't think they could wear."

After the show, there was a raffle and local businesses like Dimple Design and Forever Living with stalls selling their goods.
