DRIVERS in Chesham had no need to clean their own cars at the weekend volunteers did it for them.
Chesham Rotaract raised £65 in two hours for Riding for the Disabled, which members are supporting as their charity this year.
They took a donation for each car they cleaned at the Chesham Leisure Centre in White Hill from 10am to midday on Saturday.
Diana Staddon said she was delighted with the results. She said: "We try to do them a couple of times a year because it is a quick way to raise money for charity. But it is lots of hard work, especially when the weather was miserable like it was on Saturday.
"There were six of us helping at the leisure centre. It is a good place to go as parents are dropping off their kids at swimming and they think it is a nice idea.
Some people put in a pound, some people put in £10."
Chesham Rotaract is for 18 to 30-year-olds. For more information call Diana Staddon on (01442) 890656.
