A new website will aim to encourage people in Buckinghamshire to share their experiences of diabetes care and treatment.
Improve Bucks Diabetes, which launches is coinciding with Diabetes Week (June 14-20), will use the feedback it gathers to inform any future changes to the way the condition is treated in the county.
NHS Aylesbury Vale, NHS Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Groups and Bucks County Council are supporting the two local Diabetes UK groups and Healthwatch Bucks to collect personal insight into how well diabetes care is provided in the county.
Dr Kathy Hoffmann, Diabetes Clinical Lead for Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Groups, said: “By responding to questions, interacting with other patients and healthcare professionals and posting your own challenges, you can become part of the extended team that is committed to making a difference.”
