Police are stepping up ‘stop and search’ patrols in parts of Marlow, with residents becoming increasingly worried about youths congregating in the area.

Officers from Marlow’s neighbourhood police say there has been a rise in calls from the public about groups hanging around in the Gunthorpe Road area, with suspicions that some may be dealing drugs.

Patrols are being used in the area to the east of town to search potential suspects, with officers confirming an arrest has been made over possession of Class A and Class B substances.

A police spokesman said: “The neighbourhood team would appreciate any further information that residents can supply in regards to the anti social behaviour, especially vehicle registration numbers for people that may be travelling to the area to supply or purchase illegal substances.

“If you do not wish to give your details you can anonymously provide information via the crime stoppers telephone number 0800 555 111”
