Supermarket shoppers and staff in High Wycombe have done their bit to help put a smile on the face of people suffering from Arthritis by raising almost £10,000 for charity.
The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) received a cheque for £9,405 from staff at Morrisons in Temple End, after months of fundraising.
The money will be used to launch and run three new patient support groups in the UK over the next year, the society have announced.
NRAS external projects and group supervisor, Gill Weedon, said: “Patients groups are an extremely valuable as they offer mutual support, information and reduce the feeling of isolation for people living with RA.
“We’re thankful to the Morrison’s foundation for their support in helping us to reach even more communities across the UK.”
