Broadcasting legends Henry Blofeld and Peter Baxter will take to the stage at the Old Town Hall, High Wycombe, on Friday October 16 to perform their ‘Rogues on the Road’ comedy show.

The pair, most known for their work on BBC Radio’s Test Match Special (TMS) as commentator and producer respectively, have been performing sell-out shows all over the country for the past three years.

Blofeld told the Bucks Free Press: “This show is all about what we got up to while travelling around the world.

“It’s anecdotal comedy very much in the vein of Test Match Special – but it’s not a cricket evening.

“We all feel better when we are laughing and I think this show produces laughter, and a lot of it too.”

The tour, which has 29 show dates, began on October 1 in Maidenhead and finishes at Corsham, Wiltshire at the end of November.

Blofeld and Baxter worked together on TMS for 34 years, becoming great friends in the process.

“Peter and I get on very well,” Blofeld continued. “We are great friends. He was a very, very good producer.

“The fact that Test Match Special is still as popular as it is owes a great deal to him. He has a lovely sense of humour, we laugh at the same things.

“I did another show with Peter Baxter last year called Memories of Test Match Special but this one is completely different – nothing is the same at all.

“I say to people if you come to it and find anything that you saw in the last show I will give you your money back!”
