A community choir from Marlow celebrated raising over £3,000 for charity at a cheque presentation on Monday.
Marlow Choral Society raised a grand total of £3,500 at its annual carol concert and collections throughout December.
On Monday, January 18 the cheques were presented to children’s education charity Onebillion and Alexander Devine Children’s hospice by the concert’s organiser Jackie Duxbury.
Jackie said: “We had a wonderful concert and I am delighted with this fantastic result. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who were involved with the concert in any way, the audience who gave so generously and the many local shops and businesses who supported us with such wonderful raffle prizes.”
The choir will next appear in a performance of The Pirates of Penzance and The Grand Duke with Princes Risborough Music Society on Sunday, March 20 at the Wycombe Swan.
