Firefighters tackled a lorry fire on the M40 southbound this morning.

Crews rushed to the scene between junctions 4 (Handy Cross) and 3 (Loudwater) at around 10:46am to reports of a fire in the engine compartment of a lorry.

Paramedics treated a man who was suffering from smoke inhalation.

Two crews from High Wycombe and one from Marlow attended along with two officers. Firefighters used one hose real to put the blaze out.
