THE former teacher of a gap-year student who was killed while travelling in Australia has spoken of the "waste of a young life".
Craig Gibson, 19, of Gregories Road, Beaconsfield, was found dead on March 4, after going swimming with a group of friends in New South Wales.
Craig was nearing the end of a round-the-world trip when he was found on March 4, having gone missing three days earlier.
He had been a talented art student at the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe, and his former head of year, Eric Wolton, spoke of his sadness at the death.
Mr Wolton said: "He had a very good sense of humour and wanted to go on to university to study computer animation.
"We are all very sad and just cannot believe that this has happened it was a waste of a young life."
