Wycombe MP Steve Baker has publically backed Boris Johnson to be the UK’s next Prime Minister.
The Tory pair worked together during the Vote Leave campaign which sparked residents across the country voting to exit the European Union - even visiting High Wycombe on his infamous battle bus.
The referendum defeat saw current leader David Cameron announce his resignation, with some of the party’s top politicians now set to battle it out to become the next Prime Minister.
Contenders are expected to announce if they are running for the top job today, with Wycombe’s member of Parliament tweeting his support for Boris Johnson.

Boris is expected to face competition in the race to be Prime Minister from Maidenhead MP and current Home Secretary, Theresa May, whose constituency also includes Cookham and Bisham.
