A burglar who targeted homes across High Wycombe has been put behind bars for five years after being found guilty by a jury.
A judge at Amersham Crown Court handed 33-year-old David John Duff a five-year sentence for committing two burglaries in the town where he lived.
The Challener Road resident raided two homes is April this year stealing expensive electronic items and cash.
The first burglary occurred in Brandon Road overnight between April 1 and 2, during which Duff stole an Xbox, a mobile phone, cash and bank cards, which he then used to purchase items.
The second burglary happened on the afternoon of April 3 this year in Redman Road, where Duff stole a handbag and cash.
Investigating officer, PC Criona Riordan, said: “I hope Duff’s conviction and sentence serves as a warning to other burglars that we will investigate offences and we will work with the Crown Prosecution Service to bring perpetrators to justice.”
Duff was found unanimously guilty of two counts of burglar following a four day trial.
