AN award-winning south Bucks chef will compete for the chance to be crowned the nation’s best in TV contest British Menu next month.

Chris Wheeler, Executive Chef at Stoke Park will appear on Great British Menu from September 5 on BBC2.

He said: “I'm really looking forward to being a part of this series of Great British Menu - it is such honour to be a part of the show and having the chance to come up with some fabulously creative ideas.”

Chris is no stranger to live television, having previously appeared on Hell’s Kitchen 2, Chefs Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, Sunday Brunch and Saturday Kitchen.

The series will make history by being the first to be filmed in the Palace of Westminster and the winner will be given the prestigious prize of cooking at Queen Elizabeth II’s ‘Great Britons’ banquet.

Originally from Swanage in Dorset, Chris was Chef Jean Christophe-Novelli’s right-hand man for ten years. He then joined Stoke Park in 2003, achieving 3 AA Rosettes for the fine-dining restaurant, Humphry’s.

In celebration of Chris’ appearance on the show, Stoke Park will launch two special packages including the Great British Menu Dinner Party package, allowing guests to enjoy the exact menu Chris cooks on television.
