Young people celebrated Halloween in style at an activity centre in Marlow on Saturday.

Longridge Activity Centre hosted a special Halloween-themed open day on October 29 and invited youngsters to take part in fun outdoor events.

Children and instructors in spooky fancy dress enjoyed laser tag, climbing, go-karting and water orbing at the centre on Quarry Wood Road, despite the rain.

The day of activities was capped off by a special free fireworks display in the evening, sponsored by Marlow business, Aston Select.

The company stepped in to save the display after a previous business had to pull out of sponsoring the event following the closure of Marlow Bridge.

Savannah Catharine, from Longridge Activity Centre, praised the "incredibly kind" company for saving the display.

She said: "When Marlow Bridge was forced to close, the company pulled out. As we are already suffering greatly due to the bridges closure, this was devastating. However, Aston Select stepped in. They really saved the day.

"For the first time ever running a Halloween event, and with rain, it actually went really well. Over 300 people came to the fireworks."
