BUSINESS owners in High Wycombe will get a chance this week to have their say on the future of the town centre after the Eden centre opens.

The High Wycombe Town Centre Partnership and Wycombe District Council are hosting a meeting to discuss the events planned for the momentous occasion when Eden opens in eight months time.

The council will reveal future projects for the town and members of the partnership will be on hand to talk about the opportunities and challenges that Eden will bring.

Matt Billsborough, partnership member and owner of Ruby Moon in Castle Street, said: "We would like to see as many town centre businesses come along so that we strengthen communication with the council and rebuild a strong town centre partnership.

"We need to show the council that businesses are interested to play their part in the future of the town centre because apathy is our biggest enemy."

Representatives from Eden developer Multiplex and flagship store House of Fraser will also be there to answer questions.

Anyone from a business that trades in the town centre is invited to attend the meeting on Thursday evening at 6pm in the Oak Room at the Town Hall in Queen Victoria Road. Light refreshments will be provided.
