A High Wycombe man who falsely told police there was a bomb in the town has been given a suspended jail sentence.
Adeel Iqbal, from Chairborough Road, made bomb hoax threats to a police officer on August 22.
He pleaded guilty to communicating information which he knew or believed to be false with the intention of “inducing in that person or any other person a false belief that a bomb was present” at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.
The 30-year-old was given a six month prison sentence suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £200 on September 19.
