An inquest into the death of a Marlow woman who died in a car crash at Bisham roundabout earlier this year has been set.

Clare Smith, 38, died at John Radcliffe hospital on July 31 after she was involved in a two-car crash on the A308 near the junction with The Lodge on July 26.

The Newtown Road resident was travelling in a black Vauxhall Corsa on the A308 Marlow Road towards Maidenhead from the direction of the A404, when she was involved in the crash with a blue Nissan Qashqai, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

Her nine-year-old daughter, who was in the car with her, was also injured but later discharged from hospital.

An inquest into her death is expected to take place on December 7 at Reading Town Hall.

Mrs Smith’s devastated family paid tribute to her at the time, saying she would be “forever sadly missed”.

They said: “Clare lived all of her life in Marlow and was a former pupil of Holy Trinity and Great Marlow Schools. In the past few year she had worked at Wycombe Hospital.

“She was very much loved by her devastated family and friends and will be forever sadly missed.”
