Around 30 firefighters battled a blaze at a prestigious film school in Beaconsfield this morning.
Five fire engines were at the National Film and Television School, in Station Road, where a fire in a single storey building used as carpentry workshop is believed to have started in the early hours of this morning.
Residents were being warned to keep doors and windows closed while crews tackle the fire, and people were being asked to avoid the area if possible.
An eyewitness told The Beaconsfield Society he woke up to see the blaze and called the fire service, which he praised for its quick response.
He said: "They were on site in four minutes. The fire was quickly brought under control and the workshop may need to be demolished."
Crews from Beaconsfield, Amersham, Gerrards Cross, High Wycombe, Princes Risborough and Maidenhead, as well as two officers, were called out to the scene at 5.56 this morning.
Bucks Fire confirmed firefighters used two main jets, one hose reel and a water tanker to tackle the fire, which they said was not in the school itself but on the school site.
