A family friend has hailed the support of hundreds of people who turned out to bid farewell to an aspiring bodybuilder, who was killed in a New Year’s Day crash.
Jordan Coupland died at the scene on the A404 Marlow bypass after his Nissan Skyline was involved in a crash with a Land Rover at around 11.45pm.
Friends of the 20-year-old started a crowdfunding campaign to help pay for his funeral, which raised thousands of pounds.
Family friend Debs Bowles said the funeral service, held at the Chilterns Crematorium on Saturday, was “absolutely lovely”.
She said: “It went really well and we are really pleased with the send-off that he got.
“Everything that was raised through the campaign was spent on the funeral.”
Jordan’s friends are now planning to start another fundraising campaign to build a gym in the former rugby player’s name.
Ms Bowles added: “It just proves how much he was loved. [His friends] are planning to do more memorials. His legacy is just everywhere.”
