Potential foster parents are being invited to information sessions across Buckinghamshire.
Bucks County Council staff will be on hand at the events in High Wycombe and Aylesbury to answer questions from residents thinking about fostering.
There are currently 450 children in care across the county, with many in need of a foster home.
Cabinet member for children’s services, Warren Whyte, said: “Fostering is not something you decide to do overnight, it can take months and even years for people to make the decision but one of the best ways to arm yourself with all the information to help you make that decision is to come along to one of our events.
“They offer the perfect opportunity to speak face to face with our social workers and some of our existing foster carers and find answers to your questions."
The events will take place on:
- Thursday March 8 at 7pm at the Aylesbury Opportunities Centre, in Thame Road.
- Wednesday March 14 at 7pm at The Hub in Easton Street, High Wycombe.
Book a place at one of the events online at www.buckscc.gov.uk/fostering or call 0800 160 1900.
