Thames Valley Air Ambulance is set to appear in a new TV series that will follow its emergency crews as they battle to save the most critically ill and injured patients across the region.

Emergency Helicopter Medics will offer viewers an insight into the lifesaving services provided by the air ambulance, including how crews deliver hospital level treatment to patients at the scene.

The documentary shows the emergency services charity, in its iconic red helicopter, attending a range of incidents across the counties of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Amanda McLean, CEO at Thames Valley Air Ambulance, said: “It was a privilege to be featured as part of this series.

“It shows how, together with our fellow emergency services, we make a difference when minutes matter.

“Furthermore, as a charity, it provides our supporters with true examples of how their generous donations help us save lives.

“I urge everyone across the region to watch the series and see our amazing crew deliver advanced care in a range of different emergencies. It’s inspiring.”

The documentary will air on More4 on April 8 at 9pm.
