A health chief at Buckinghamshire’s NHS trust has received a prestigious award for overseeing “rapid improvements to the quality of care” provided to patients.
Chair Hattie Llewelyn-Davies has scooped the 2018 non-executive director award in the public service category after helping the trust move towards achieving “financial success”.
Judges praised Ms Llewelyn Davies – who has been chair at the trust since 2014 – for moving the organisation away from special measures to being named one of the eight Integrated Care Systems (ICS) nationally.
According to award organisers nominees in this category “must have made significant contribution to the organisation’s strategy, impacted on the financial success of the company, demonstrated high ethical standards and shown good corporate governance”.
