Film fans could pick up a free ice cream and help a Bucks charity at the same time on Wednesday.
April 10 marked Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day, a yearly occasion which sees shops and cinemas hand out free scoops of their signature flavours between 12pm and 8pm in a bid to help out charities across the world.
Empire Cinema, on Crest Road, took part in the celebration and helped Stokenchurch Dog Rescue raise vital funds at the same time.
Representatives from the charity, armed with donation buckets, collected spare change from dozens of visitors throughout the day in a bid to help them provide care for abandoned dogs.
