Rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave will once again kick off the celebrations at the Marlow Town Regatta and Festival this year.
The five-time Olympic champion has been opening the popular rowing event for more than a decade, with his wife, Lady Anne, taking over in his absence.
The annual event – this year on June 16 and 17 – sees crowds of thousands flock to the banks of the River Thames each year for one of the busiest weekends in Marlow in the town’s history.
This year’s event will see the re-introduction of the grandstand by the finish line and the introduction of adaptive rowing, with Marlow Rowing Club leading the way in helping more disabled people enjoy the quintessential British sport.
