A manhunt has been launched after sexual predators attacked a woman near a country pub last night.

A woman in her 20s was walking along Nags Head Lane, in Great Missenden, yesterday (Tuesday) between 11.45pm and midnight, when she was approached by two men who pushed her to the floor and sexually assaulted her.

An underpass near the railway line at the end of Nags Head Lane, on Windsor Lane, and the cricket ground in Nags Head Lane have been cordoned off while police investigate.

Senior investigating officer, detective inspector James Mather, of Force CID, based at Aylesbury, said: "We are in the early stages of an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in the early hours of this morning.

"The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and members of the public may see an increased police presence whilst we continue to investigate.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have information that could assist our enquiries to please get in touch

Eyewitnesses reported seeing officers near the Nags Head, in London Road, this morning.

A member of staff at the pub said she saw police cars when she arrived this morning at 7am and that officers are still in the area.
