A Marlow park was transformed into an authentic French market over the bank holiday weekend once again.

Hundreds of visitors basked in the glorious weather as they enjoyed traditional French produce in Higginson Park, including breads, cheeses, handbags and soaps.

The popular annual event, over three days, saw people sample delights from across the channel.

Town mayor Jocelyn Towns joined visitors as she also joined in the festivities.

She said: "The French Market was great, all the stall holders were on very good form and really appreciated the good weather this year.

"I helped with a little of the cooking on one stall and visited all the the other, while my daughter and her fiancé shopped.

"There was a great atmosphere and lots of shoppers around. [It is] lovely to see the market here again."

Marlow has strong links to France, with regular exchange trips taking place between Marlovians and twin town Marly-le-Roi, near Paris.
