A man was smashed over the head with a glass bottle and hit in the face with a metal object by a group of teenagers after asking them to move away from his car.

The man, 29, suffered serious injuries to his face in the attack, which happened in Village Road in Denham on Saturday night.

The man and his girlfriend saw a group of teenagers hanging around his car and he asked them to move away.

One of the gang hit the man over the head with a glass bottle, knocking him to the ground and others members of the group - male and female - hit him in the face several times with a metal object.

He was taken to Wexham Park Hospital but has since been discharged.

The gang of six were said to be aged between 15 and 16 years old and one of them was riding a bicycle.

PC Catherine Hawkes said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or who may have seen a group, matching the description, hanging around the area that evening.
