Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole is set to take centre stage at Wycombe Swan’s 2018 pantomime, it has been announced.

The Bucks resident will make his panto debut in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which will come to the High Wycombe theatre on December 7.

Cole rose to fame, becoming a household name dancing alongside celebrities including Kelly Brook, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Anastacia and Michelle Williams.

He became the first pro-dancer to win the coveted Strictly trophy in the show’s first series, alongside his dance partner Natasha Kaplinksky.

He studied dance from the age of six in his native New Zealand and his professional career saw him rise to the top of both the ballroom and Latin American dance scenes, where he ranked within the top 12 in the world thanks to his deft dance skills and stage presence.

Cole also judged New Zealand’s equivalent of Strictly – Dancing with the Stars – for four years, and went on to produce a number of UK tours including his dance, music and chat shows Live & Unjudged, Licence to Thrill and A Night to Remember.

Since entering the world of television, he has also appeared on numerous shows including Britain’s Next Top Model, ITV’s Love Island and as a contestant on the BBC’s Just the Two of Us.

Following the successful run of Jack and the Beanstalk at Wycombe Swan last Christmas – featuring Simon Webbe and Ashleigh and Sully – another classic fairytale will be put on stage in front of delighted audiences in High Wycombe.

Wycombe Swan says this year’s pantomime will be brought to life with an “abundance” of comedy, song and dance numbers, costumes and “stunning” scenery.
