A tragic young woman took her own life after a row with her boyfriend, an inquest heard.

Twenty one year-old Emily Morrell hanged herself after her boyfriend told her to ‘f*** off ’ during an argument.

A coroner heard how Miss Morrell had messaged Daniel Cunnane that she had ‘had enough of life.’

She was found hanging by her boyfriend’s father the morning after the argument which had seen Mr Cunnane storm out of his own house.

Miss Morrell, a student, was rushed to hospital by paramedics but was declared dead, an inquest heard this morning.

In a statement read at the inquest, Mr Cunnane said Miss Morell had sent him messages that he still has not read.

“The last time I saw Emily was at about 4:30am on Sunday February 25 at my parent’s house.

"The last time I heard from her was when she texted me at about 5am. “I said something like f*** off. We’d had an argument, but it wasn’t physical.

"The first I knew of what had happened was when my parents called me at about 9am.”

Detective Sergeant Simon Johnson told the coroner: “We were called to Peters Close in Prestwood by the ambulance service at 8:20am on Sunday February 25.

“Officers first arrived at 8:31am and Emily was being treated by paramedics. Emily was at her boyfriend’s father’s property but there was nothing unusual about her being there.

“By the time I arrived she had been taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The last time Emily was seen alive was at around 4am.

“Emily sent messages following an argument with her boyfriend which said she had had enough of life but they weren’t read at the time,” said the detective.

A toxicology report, prepared for the inquest in Beaconsfield, found evidence that Miss Morrell, who lived at the YMCA in Crest Road, High Wycombe, had been drinking and had smoked cannabis but neither chemical was found to be at anything like a toxic level.

A post mortem examination determined the cause of her death to be hanging.

At the inquest, senior coroner for Buckinghamshire, Crispin Butler, recorded a conclusion of suicide.

He said: “Messages indicated she wanted to end her life and sadly that was the result. “I record a conclusion of suicide.”
