A remembrance service to mark D-Day will be held in Flackwell Heath this week.
The Flackwell Heath Royal British Legion will host a short service of remembrance on Wednesday (June 6) at the memorial, in The Common, at noon.
It will mark the anniversary of the Normandy landings, code named Operation Neptune, on June 6, 1944, which was deemed to be the largest seaborne invasion in history and started the liberation of German-occupied north-western Europe from Nazi control.
