Each week our chief photographer, Anita Ross Marshall, picks her favourite shot from the archives. She writes:
So much of what we do and see is not about what has happened, but what could, and is about to happen. If you photograph it well, you pose a question for those that look at the image.
It is a question of balance in the image , in the question, but also in the answer the picture gives you.
