A pensioner had to go to hospital after he was hit over the head with a broken breeze block in Farnham Common.

The 68-year-old man was confronted aggressively by two people on a motorbike close to the entrance of Lord Mayors Drive, at around 6.15am on Sunday, June 10.

As he walked near the Emperor pub, he heard a motorbike approaching behind him and felt something hit the back of his hand.

The bike passed him slowly and the passenger made an offensive gesture to the victim.

He then walked along a parade of shops in Beaconsfield Road and noticed the bike approaching again and the passenger made another offensive gesture at him.

The victim picked up and threw gravel at the bike and shouted at the two people on it.

The victim returned to Lord Mayors Drive, where the offenders also returned and got off the bike. The passenger then hit the victim over the head with a broken breeze block.

The two offenders then got back on the bike and rode away.

The 68-year-old suffered a cut and head injuries and had to go to Wexham Park Hospital.

The rider of the motorcycle is male, approximately 6ft wearing a distinctive red and white helmet, blue jeans, a black jacket and red gloves.

The pillion passenger is believed to be female, approximately 6ft, wearing a distinctive blue and white helmet, lighter blue jeans, a black jacket, blue and white trainers and red gloves. They were riding a black Yamaha.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Nicholas Widdison, of Aylesbury Force CID, said: "This was an intimidating incident for the victim.

"The two people on the bike were aggressive and the victim was ultimately assaulted with a brick resulting in hospital treatment.

"I would appeal for anyone with information about the incident which could assist the investigation to contact police."
