An open-air music festival drew its largest crowd yet as thousands of revellers soaked up the sun in Marlow Bottom.
Rock Bottom returned to the playing fields for the sixth year at the weekend, with the sounds of The Kaiser Chiefs, Blur and Robbie Williams, alongside homegrown talent, entertaining around 2,000 people – the largest number the popular festival has ever seen, according to organisers.
There was something for everyone at Rock Bottom this year, with adults being able to enjoy the music with Pimms, wine, beer and bubbly, and younger guests treated to a pop-up cinema showing Paddington 2, Despicable Me and cartoons throughout the day.
The festival aims to raise money to maintain and develop the playing fields.
Richard Moss, one of the organisers, said the event is expected to raise more than £10,000.
He said: “It went very, very well. We had the largest crowd ever and everyone enjoyed themselves.
“The event has got a bit of traction now which is really good.
“There are so many festivals, especially in Marlow with Pub in the Park, the regatta, etc. so it was about putting something on that was unique but also affordable.
“Most people stayed until the end. Everyone had a good time.
“Dave the Disco went down well with the kids and the pop-up cinema was absolutely fantastic.
“It’s becoming a date in everyone’s diary, which is great.”
