The future of two GP surgeries has been plunged into doubt after the partnership that provides its services was dissolved.

Worried patients at Chiltern House Medical Centre in Temple End, High Wycombe, which has a second site at Dragon Cottage in Browns Road, Holmer Green, feared their surgeries may close down after the announcement - but healthcare chiefs have insisted that services will continue.

In a statement to the Bucks Free Press, a spokesman for the NHS Buckinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said it had been notified that the partnership which holds the contract to provide primary care medical services at the medical centre has been dissolved.

A specialist healthcare consultancy has been drafted in to take over the running of the centre.

They added: "To ensure continuity of services for patients, the CCG has appointed Primary Care Management Solutions to assist in the management of the practice.

"We would like to reassure patients that services at Chiltern House Medical Centre will continue while the CCG and NHS England work with the patients, practice and staff to determine future plans."

A notice appeared on the Chiltern House website this morning to say that due to "unforeseen circumstances" the medical centre was closed between 8am and 9am, with patients urged to call 111 or 999 for care.

From 9am, Bucks CCG would then "arrange delivery of patients services".
