Dozens of villagers turned out to a fun fête and picnic at the weekend.
Organised by the Flackwell Heath Residents’ Association, the family-friendly day, hosted at the recreation ground in Straight Bit on Sunday, saw visitors enjoy music, a barbecue, children’s activities and the chance to relax with their own picnics while soaking up the sun.
The Bowls Club was open for tea and the bar, and villagers had a chance to try their hand at bowls.
Schoolchildren also took part in a football tournament in a prelude to the evening’s World Cup final.
