BUS routes across High Wycombe are being updated to prepare for the opening of the Eden shopping centre.

From September 3, Arriva will revamp High Wycombe's bus network, changing a number of routes in an effort to improve reliability and punctuality for shoppers travelling to and from the town centre.

There will also be improved frequencies on services running to and from Marlow, Bourne End, Lane End and Henley.

Nick Knox, head of operations at Arriva, said: "We are sure that the service changes will deliver improved frequencies, better punctuality and reliability for the majority of bus users and will provide the routes and links most people want to see."

Details of service changes have been distributed to thousands of homes around Wycombe. From September, they will be available to download from Arriva's website www.arrivabus.co.uk The planned changes, due to be imposed from September 3.

Service 31 Revised timetable to improve reliability.

Services 30 & 32 The service 30 is being replaced by an extended 32, which will now run between Lane End and High Wycombe. It will operate up to every 30 minutes during the day. Flackwell Heath will now be served by routes 45 and 305.

Services 33 & 34 Revised timetable to improve reliability. Service 34 changes direction on the Micklefield loop but still serves the same points.

Service 35 Revised timetable to improve reliability.

Service 74 Revised timings to improve punctuality at peak times.

Service 100 - Park n Ride Revised route and timetable with the service now using the Cressex Link Road.

Service 305 Revised timetable with off peak journeys being diverted via Flackwell Heath.

Service 317 These service has been renumbered 37 and will now operate every 20 minutes between Bourne End and High Wycombe on weekdays.

Services 328 & 329 The services are to be renumbered Line 800 and Line 850. There is also an improved peak frequency between Henley and High Wycombe and services will now operate every 15 minutes between Marlow and High Wycombe.

Services 345 & 348 These services are to be renumbered 45 and 48 and most journeys will be extended to serve Flackwell Heath.

Service 362 Revised timetable to improve reliability. School Services Journeys on service 631 will now be incorporated into the new Line 800 timetable.

The Royal Grammar School will be served by service 31.

Journeys on school service 663 will also be replaced by the revised 31 timetable.
