Drivers are being urged to "drive to the conditions, not the limit" as downpours leave roads slippery.
TVP Chiltern and South Bucks warned that reports of minor crashes had already started pouring in as the rain arrived - including one in Swan Bottom (pictured) which saw a car overturn.
Long dry spells followed by rain can make road surfaces treacherous and slippery - and the speed limit is not necessarily the safest speed to drive at in those conditions.
