More than 50 people turned out to celebrate another year for a project aimed at helping disabled adults get involved in gardening.

The sixth annual Triangle event celebrated the Triangle Project at the Hanging Hill allotments site in Marlow.

The project, formed by the Marlow Allotments Association, is aimed at helping disabled adults to enjoy the Allotment Gardening Experience, which officially opened in March 2013.

The association developed what was previously an unused area of the Hanging Hill site into a place where people with a wide range of learning and social difficulties could become involved in gardening.

The event is a chance for the groups to meet each other and the volunteers who made it possible.

Organiser Sylvia Miller said: “It was absolutely brilliant. A lot of people came up for the food despite the rain. They enjoyed themselves so much.

“I would like to say a special thank you to the volunteers whose help ensured that [the event] was such success.”

A number of VIP guests also joined in the celebrations, including mayor Chris Funnell, former mayor Jocelyn Towns, and Wycombe district councillor for Marlow, Richard Scott.
