The soldiers and officers of the English Civil War descended on a Bucks museum at the weekend - and put on a thrilling display for the crowds who gathered to watch a skirmish.
Visitors to the Chiltern Open Air Museum were treated to a spectacular day out as gunfire and bangs rang out across Chalfont St Giles on Saturday and Sunday.
It was a chance to learn how officers, soldiers and civillians lived during the English Civil War and about the weapons they used.
Crowds watched wide-eyed as re-enactors carried out a drill and a skirmish.
