While some pupils cannot wait to leave school at the end of the day, a group of dedicated students will be sleeping at their school overnight in a bid to raise money for a homelessness charity.

The Beaconsfield School is looking to host a number of events to raise awareness and support their community in different ways - and one of those will be a sponsored sleep out.

The event, on September 28, will see pupils creating their own cardboard shelter and sleeping overnight on the premises in Wattleton Road with just sleeping bags and blankets to protect them from the elements.

They hope to raise at least £4,000 for Wycombe Homeless Connection, which hosts its own sleep out to raise vital funds at Adams Park on November 24.
